The rooms

We have just seven rooms at Abbey Green and all are spacious and elegant with en suite facilities. Each is very different so to make it easier for you to get a true picture of each room, we have written a little about each of them. Please go to the 'Prices' page for current prices.

Ground Floor

Lady Hamilton has original wood panelling on the walls and during the refurbishment we discovered a fireplace. In this large room we have put in a brand new SuperKing size double bed, which can be split into single beds. There are comfortable arm chairs to complete the luxurious feel of this room.

The Westwood Suite has a large main room with Super King double or twin beds, with a comfortable sofa and chairs. There is an attached dressing room with a single bed. Both share the same en suite shower and lavatory.

1st Floor

The Lord Nelson is the size of two rooms. It has a 6’ four-poster bed, some lovely pieces of furniture, a comfortable sitting area with a sofa (which can be used as a sofabed) and two arm chairs. The focal point of the room is the elegant gas fire and surround with real flame. There are plush curtains to complete the opulent but understated feel to the room.

The Asher Suite is our larger suite of rooms for family accommodation. The main room has a SuperKing size double bed/twin beds plus another single bed. There is a further single bed in the attached single room. Both share the enormous bathroom which has both bath and shower over.

2nd Floor

The Old Plane Tree is a King size room and has two spacious arm chairs near the window in the room, which overlooks the square, Abbey Green.

Sycamore can either be a Super King double or twin bedded room and a sofa/sofabed near the window overlooking the historic square, Abbey Green.

Lilliput Court This is a cosy, comfortable King size room, with views towards the small courtyard called, Lilliput Court, at the side of the house. As you would expect this room also has a beautiful spacious en suite shower room. The room is the smallest we offer, but in this case we believe small can still mean beautiful and comfortable.

All our rooms have en suite bathrooms, colour T.V., tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms are NON smoking. A computer is provided to allow free internet access at all times for our guests. There is wireless internet access in all guest rooms, which is available without charge. We provide a fridge, accessible to all guests, for chilling drinks.

We do not have any single rooms but we will discount the room rate by 10% to reflect single occupancy.

A travel cot and bed linen are provided without charge, upon request, for children under two years old.

Most rooms will take an extra bed, if required, at an additional GBP30 per night (GBP20 for children under 12 years old).
